Director

Charlie Warren was organ scholar of Merton College, Oxford while studying music from 2012-15. During this time he worked with directors Benjamin Nicholas and Peter Phillips in the chapel, and played for services, concerts, recordings, and tours to Sweden and the United States. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists, having studied with William Whitehead and Stephen Farr. He was organist of St Francis of Assisi RC Church, Notting Hill, from 2017-2021. He was manager of Travis & Emery Music Bookshop from 2021-2024. He is a founding Musical Director of Hesperos, Director of Music at St George’s Church, Beckenham, and recently set out as independent bookseller, trading as Charles Warren Rare & Antiquarian Music.

Director

Chris Breeze has sung with Hesperos since a short time after it was founded. He has been involved with choral music from an early age, first as chorister of the Chapel Royal, Hampton Court Palace, then as its Organ Scholar. He has known and made music with Charlie and many of the choir for close to ten years, whether as Organ Scholar at University College, Oxford, or as a regular stand-in singer around the other choirs in the city. He hopes to make music with his friends in Hesperos every week for many years to come.
