Autumn 2021 News

31 October 2021

First of all, thank you to our audience and friends for your support of our summer concert at St Paul's, West Hackney, and our choral evensong at Westminster Abbey, both of which were great successes. We said goodbye to Lizzie in September, as she moves to her post as Choral Director with the Diocese of Leeds Schools Singing Programme. We wish her every well-deserved success, and I'm sure we will catch up at a Hesperos concert or workshop soon.

The choir have been rehearsing together again, and we have a few exciting events on the horizon for the next few months.

We are delighted to return to St Augustine Kilburn, having joined them for their Advent carol service last December. This year we will be performing movements from Tomás Luis de Victoria's Requiem (1605) as part of their All Souls choral requiem, on Tuesday 2nd November at 7:30pm. This service is an opportunity to remember and pray for lost loved ones, and is open to all.

This ticketed concert will be on Saturday 11th December at 7:30pm at St Francis of Assisi RC church in Notting Hill, and will feature favourite carols and hymns, alongside newer and lesser heard works.

See you soon, and thanks again for your support of the choir!
