Hesperos choir present 'Ad Astra': a night at the movies in choral form. We'll take you from the silent era to the multiplex, by way of musicals, film noir and art house cinema, including music from the sixteenth to the twenty-first century. Featuring choral works by composers ranging from Palestrina to Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson, and interspersed with ragtime piano and organ, this promises to be an eclectic evening of entertainment not to be missed. Set in the church neighbouring film studio Sands Films in Rotherhithe, this is a location of historic significance, having delivered full production packages or costumes to movies including Pride and Prejudice (2005) and Les Miserables (2012).
